Who is Mariana?

Mariana Siebold is a Guatemalan visual artist whose life has been deeply connected to art since childhood. Her artistic vision, dedication, and distinctive creative voice have earned her recognition both nationally and internationally.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Manhattanville College in New York. Throughout her career, she has exhibited extensively and has been selected for prestigious exhibitions and biennials in Guatemala, the United States, Dubai, Barcelona, Italy, Paris, Lisbon, London, Argentina, Türkiye, Bangladesh, and Senegal.

Siebold made history as the first Guatemalan visual artist to present a solo exhibition in Dubai. Among her international distinctions are her selection for the London Art Biennale (2021), the 5th International Biennial of Argentina (2022), the Chianciano Art Biennale in Italy (2022), and the Asian Art Biennale in Bangladesh (2022), where she became the first Guatemalan artist ever selected to participate. In 2023, she was also selected for “HOPE – Human Rights,” an international exhibition organized by the Fondazione Opera Campana dei Caduti in Rovereto, Italy, in partnership with AIAPI UNESCO. In 2024, she was selected to participate in the Dak’Art Biennale OFF Program at the Village des Arts in Dakar, Senegal.

In September 2025, Mariana Siebold was selected among the Top 5 artists at the LABA Art Awards in Los Angeles, California, further strengthening her international presence. In June 2026, she was selected to exhibit at the UK Parliament in London, a distinguished recognition of the global relevance of her artistic practice.

Mariana Siebold is the creator of an intuitive artistic language centered on Connection, Introspection, and Transformation. Through her work, she seeks to inspire reflection, foster meaningful human connection, and promote a global consciousness rooted in peace, empathy, and personal transformation.

Her work appears in catalogues, books and magazines such as “Art International Contemporary Magazine”, “The Women Artists Around the World Book”, “The International Prize Velazquez Catalogue”, the “Mantua Art-Expo- International Biennial of Mantova” book , the “International Prize Artist of the Year 2019” magazine; “Segnalati Magazine”, the “Lisbon International Contemporary Exhibition Catalogue“, “Inspiring People Magazine” and others.

  • June 8, 2019 – Selected artist, Mantova Art Expo, International Mantua Biennale, Mantua, Italy.
  • March 2019 – Appointed the sole Guatemalan representative at the International Women’s Exhibition, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The exhibition brought together more than 80 women artists from around the world under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Butti Saeed Al Maktoum.
  • January 2019 – Presented a solo exhibition at the Arabian Court Gallery, One&Only Royal Mirage, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, becoming the first Guatemalan artist in history to hold a solo exhibition in Dubai.
